Tuesday, March 4, SWAT officers responded to a standoff at a house in Claremont on Baseline Road. KNBC reports, "The standoff began at about 6 a.m. after the man allegedly entered his house and shot his wife." The injured woman fled to a neighbor's house and dialed 911. She was transferred to a local hospital but it was speculated that the woman's mother was still in the house with the husband. Neighboring houses were evacuated for safety reasons. There have been no further updates on the incident.
